The community lerders participation in narcotic prevention : a case study in responsible area of tambon krateep police station in amphoe kamphaeng saen, nakhon pathom
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the levels of participation in narcotic prevention among the community leaders in the reaponsible area of Tambon Krateep Police Station in Amphoe Kamphaeng Saen, Nakhon Pathom; and the factors that affected their participation in narcotic prevention regarding to their personal status. The samples were 114 community leaders randomly selected from the community leaders of Tambon Krateep. The instrument was a constructed questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using a computer program.
The results revealed the participation in narcotic prevention of the community leaders in the responsible area of Tambon Krateep Police Station in Amphoe Kamphaeng Saen, Nakhon Pathom, was at the moderate level. Having been individually analyzed, the results revealed that only the participation in narcotic prevention of the community leaders on the aspect of the budget management was at the low level; wheras the participation on the aspect of planning, job performance, and follow up and evaluation were at the moderate levels. Additionally, the factors that significantly affected the community leaders participation in narcotic prevention at the .05 levels were their age and position. On the contrary, the factors that had no significant affected on the community leaders participation in narcotic prevention at the .05 levels were the community leaders sex, education and family economic status.
