Abstract:
The purpose of this study was two-fold: to study and compare the service quality of PEA Kanthararom. Si Sa Ket province as perceived by people who received the services as they were classified by gender, age, education, marital status, occupation, and income.
The sample group of 500 people was obtained by using the disproportionate stratified random sampling who received the services from PEA Kanthararom, Si Sa Ket province. The sample size was determined using Krejcie and Morgan table. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a five-level rating scale, yielding the reliability value of .93. The data were analyzed using percentage, frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and F-test.
The findings were as follows:
1. The largest groups were of those who were males (51.0%), aged from 14 to 30 (39.8%), holding secondary education certificate (31.0%), married (66.5%), farmers (28.0%), and earning lower than 5000 baht/month (51.5%). The Service Quality of the Electricity Authority Kanthararom Si Sa Ket Province was perceived to be at a high level with the quality in individual aspects of the service in an order from high to low as follows: Personnel, reliability, responsiveness, security, Standard, and tangible of the service.
2. Compare the Service Quality of the Electricity Authority Kanthararom Si Sa Ket Province, findings as follows: The respondents who were different in marital status, education, and occupation were significantly different perceptions about the overall service quality at the level of .01. There was no significant difference in the perceptions regarding the service quality among people who were different in gender, age and income.
