The Influence of Brand Trust and Advertising on Customers Intention to Purchase Skincare Products through the TikTok Application in Bangkok and Surrounding Areas
Abstract:
The study aimed to study the extent that demographic factors, brand trust, and advertising on the TikTok application influence customers intentions to purchase skincare products through TikTok in Bangkok and surrounding areas.
The samples of this study were 400 consumers who used the TikTok application in Bangkok and surrounding areas with the sample size determined by purposive sampling and random sampling. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument and the hypothesis was tested by descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation along with inferential statistics, including independent sample t-test. one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis.
The results of this research indicated that:1) most respondents were female, aged from 20 to 25 yearsold; their educational level was a bachelor's degree, and they received an income of 10,001 to 15,000 baht. The results of the hypothesis testing were found that consumers of skincare products with different demographic factors, such as gender, age, education, occupation, and income make different decisions to purchase skincare products through TikTok, while brand trust, in terms of kindness (beta=0.411) and honesty
(beta=0.289) along with advertising on TikTok in creating understanding (beta=0.339), in creating memories (beta=0.070), and In motivating decisions (beta=0.067) , affects consumers' decisions to purchase skin care products through TikTok with statistical significance at the .05. The results of the research suggest that entrepreneurs should focus on kindness and honesty, so it will positively affect their consumers decisions to purchase skincare products through the TikTok application.
