The objectives of this research were to: (1) study the conceptual frameworks proposed in the relevant literature concerning essential digital technology skills for sales employees; (2) examine the learning needs of sales employees in developing digital technology skills through an online curriculum; (3) develop an online curriculum that enhances digital technology skills among sales employees in modern retail business organizations; and (4) evaluate the learning outcomes of sales employees who participated in the developed online curriculum. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology and was conducted in three phases. Phase 1 involved studying conceptual frameworks from documents and research in international databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ProQuest, and Google Scholar to synthesize knowledge related to digital technology skills essential for sales employees. Phase 2 examined the learning needs of sales employees in modern retail business organizations through questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed using the Modified Priority Needs Index (PNI Modified) and content analysis. Phase 3 focused on developing and implementing the online curriculum, designed based on the frameworks of Tyler, Taba, Saylor & Alexander, and the CIPP Model to ensure a systematic process aligned with learners real needs. The results revealed that the essential digital technology skills for sales employees in modern retail businesses comprised five core areas: (1) customer data and CRM management, (2) digital marketing and social media, (3) digital tools and platform utilization, (4) application of artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics, and (5) digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness. The developed online curriculum consisted of six main components: principles, objectives, content, learning activities, learning media, and evaluation. The experimental results indicated that sales employees post-training learning achievement scores were significantly higher than their pre-training scores at the .05 level of statistical significance. Moreover, their satisfaction with the curriculum was rated at the highest level. The findings suggest that the developed online curriculum on digital technology skills effectively meets the learning needs of sales employees in the digital era and can serve as a guideline for designing and developing online training programs in modern retail business organizations. This curriculum contributes to enhancing employees competencies and strengthening the competitiveness of the retail industry sustainably
