Abstract:
A business intelligence (BI) system for analyzing lecturers qualifications is based on the Standard Criteria of the Graduate Studies Program (SCGSP). According to SCGSP, determining lecturer qualifications involves multiple factors derived from diverse data sources with heterogeneous formats. To support BI analysis, data integration is required through the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) workflow process. However, ETL workflows are complex, time-consuming, and costly, often accounting for up to 70% of the effort in data warehouse development. Additionally, there is a lack of systematic approaches and tools to ensure ETL quality, as most designs rely on developer experience. Poor ETL design can negatively affect BI system performance. Therefore, this paper proposes an ETL workflow design for lecturer qualification analysis based on SCGSP. The study identifies Quality of Objectives (QoX) dimensions-completeness, efficiency, scalability, and accuracyas key metrics for evaluating the quality of the ETL design in future work.
