Abstract: งาน Bangkok Design Week 2023 เป็นเทศกาลออกแบบที่นำเสนอวิสัยทัศน์และผลงานที่ช่วยเสริมสร้างศักยภาพใหม่ให้กับกรุงเทพ โดยชุมชนบางโพถูกเลือกให้เป็น 1 ใน 9 ย่านที่จัดงานครั้งนี้ เอกลักษณ์ของย่านนี้คือ เป็นถนนสายไม้ที่มีผู้ประกอบการจำหน่ายสินค้าและบริการเกี่ยวกับไม้ครบวงจร อีกทั้งยังเป็นแหล่งรวมภูมิปัญญาช่างไม้ไทย งานแกะสลัก งานกลึง งานเฟอร์นิเจอร์ต่าง ๆ แต่เนื่องด้วยกระแสความนิยมในงานไม้ลดลง เนื่องจากยุคสมัยที่เปลี่ยนไป มีวัสดุทดแทนในการก่อสร้าง ทำให้เกิดเศรษฐกิจในชุมชนไม่คึกคักเหมือนสมัยก่อน การจัดงานครั้งนี้จึงต้องการสร้างกลุ่มเป้าหมายคนรุ่นใหม่โดยการจัดแสดงผลงานและกิจกรรม workshop โดยได้นำโจทย์ชิ้นงานไม้ที่สามารถทำได้ง่ายสำหรับผู้เริ่มต้น อย่างการทำกล่องไม้ มาเป็น workshop สำหรับผู้เข้าร่วมนิทรรศการครั้งนี้ นอกจากนี้ยังได้ลงพื้นที่เก็บข้อมูล รวบรวมวัสดุที่จะสามารถนำมาใช้ในการออกแบบเพื่อให้เกิดการใช้ประโยชน์จากสิ่งที่มีอยู่ในชุมชนให้คุ้มค่า และเป็นการทำงานร่วมกับชุมชน ทำให้นักศึกษาได้เรียนรู้ประสบการณ์จริงจากผู้คนในชุมชน

Abstract: Bangkok Design Week 2023 is creative & design festival, sharing a vision and achievement that revitalize the potentials of Bangkok. Bangpho Districts which is 1 in 9 area that were arranged as unique events. Bangpho Community is famous for wood and trade businesses, the center for skilled carpentry, wood turning and carving in Bangkok. The woodworking is less popular due to the material substitution for construction. Thus, some people disfavor the woodwork. Therefore, the researcher has researched varieties of material in the community which is useful and worth to make sustainability before making this Case study. The Objectives for this Design Festival are 1) To create the small area as the workshop showing student-work outcome 2) To convince new generation visitors coming to experience the creative woodwork activities 3) To provide the students a chance to exhibit their works in a real situation, i.e., in woodwork business community. This Case Study results in the guideline for workshop design in the small area. However, it can be developed to arrange in a similar area. It is the creative activity gathering the interested people in woodwork design. The study gains a lot of benefit and worth invest a low budged. The workshop helps the students have more real experiences and expertise in woodworking from community people.
