Abstract:
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic caused teachers in Thailand to convert teaching and
learning activities to an online environment. At the Faculty of Engineering, Rajamangala
University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), this transition was implemented halfway
through semester 1/2020. The chemistry for engineers subject had 28 sections in this
semester. Therefore, we decided to use the online environment for the whole semester. We
used team teaching by 21 lecturers from five departments in the Faculty of Engineering. The
main platform of the online environment was Microsoft Teams. There were 1,007 students
registered in this subject. This paper focuses on only four sections to analyze the lessons that
were learned through the process. Finally, we discuss the experiences that can be used to
improve the online classroom for the next semester.
