Creative Leadership in Digital Era of the School Administrators of Basic Education Institutions under the Municipality in the 3 Southern Border Provinces
Abstract:
This independent study aimed to 1) study the level of creative leadership in digital era of the school administrators of basic education institutions under the municipality in the 3 southern border provinces, 2) compare the level of creative leadership in digital era of the school administrators of basic education institutions under the municipality in the 3 southern border provinces, classified by gender, position, age, educational level, work experience, and school size, and 3) explore recommendations for developing creative leadership in digital era of the school administrators of basic education institutions under the municipality in the 3 southern border provinces. The sample group used in the independent study consisted of 298 teachers and school administrators from basic education institutions under the municipality in the 3 southern border provinces in the academic year of 2024, selected through a stratified random sampling technique. The research instrument was a 40-item Likert scale questionnaire with Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) values ranging from 0.67 to 1.00, and a reliability coefficient of 0.981. The questionnaire was divided into three sections. The statistical methods used for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-Test, and F-Test. When significant differences were found, pairwise comparisons were conducted using Scheffes method.
The findings of independent study showed that:
1. The level of creative leadership in digital era of the school administrators of basic education institutions under the municipality in the 3 southern border provinces overall and in each aspect was found to be high.
2. The comparison results of creative leadership in digital era of the school administrators of basic education institutions under the municipality in the 3 southern border provinces, categorized by gender, position, age, educational background, work experience, and school size, revealed that gender, age, and educational background showed no significant differences overall. However, overall position, work experience, and school size showed statistically significant differences at the .01 level.
3. The studys recommendations for developing creative leadership in digital era of the school administrators of basic education institutions under the municipality in the 3 southern border provinces in digital vision were found that school administrators should establish a vision incorporating digital technology into all four areas of school administration while flexibility in the digital era should promote learning about technology and to acknowledge the varying levels of technological skills among teachers. In terms of teamwork in the digital era, it was found that communication and collaboration as a team should be promoted through online platforms. Regarding imagination in the digital era, school administrators utilized imagination to create new and innovative ideas. As for innovation and technology in the digital era, administrators should promote the use of digital innovations and technologies in school administration as well as in student learning.
