Abstract:
This independent study aimed 1) to study level of administration based on good governance principles of school administrators under the Yala Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, 2) to compare administration based on good governance principles of school administrators under the Yala Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 classified by gender, education level, work experience, and school size, and 3) to compile problems and suggestions about administration based on good governance principles of school administrators under the Yala Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample group was 306 government teachers in the schools under
the Yala Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in academic year 2023, obtained by a stratified random sampling technique. The tool used for data collection was a questionnaire. Statistics used included frequency, percentage, means, standard deviations, t-Test, and F-Test. When the differences were found, Scheffes method was used.
The results of the research showed that:
1. The overall level of administration based on good governance principles of school administrators under the Yala Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 was high.
2. The comparative administration based on good governance principles of school administrators under the Yala Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 classified by gender, education level, work experience, and school size was found that overall and each aspect of gender showed statistical difference at significance level of .05. When classified by education level, overall and each aspect was found no difference as well as work experience overall was found no difference.
3. The results after compiling suggestions about administration based on good governance principles of school administrators under the Yala Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 were found that the school administrators should have knowledge and ability in school administration. Planning and managing tasks to achieve goals involved assigning responsibilities according to teachers abilities and treating them equally without discrimination. Providing opportunities for personnel to participate in initiative, expressing opinions, making decisions, and developing solutions in various school operations should be considered. Also, transparent and effective management
can be ensured by strict adherence to established regulations and promoting teaching
and learning management that is responsive to the needs of both students and staff
resulting in productivity and effectiveness.
