Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1. to create the model of innovative
leadership for school administrators in education sandbox under the Office of Basic
Education Commission Yala Province, and 2. to evaluate the effectiveness of innovative
leadership model for school administrators in education sandbox under the Office of
Basic Education Commission Yala Province. The research was divided into two processes.
Process 1: creating the model of innovative leadership for school administrators in
education sandbox under the Office of Basic Education Commission Yala Province was
divided into three sub-steps: 1.1 to study recent and desired conditions, and necessary
requirements of innovative leadership for school administrators in education sandbox
under the Office of Basic Education Commission Yala Province. The population was
650 school administrators and teachers. The sample was determined by Taro Yamane
formula and obtained by a simple random sampling technique, resulting in a sample
group of 248 persons. The research tool was a questionnaire and statistics used for
data analysis were means, standard deviations, and priority need index (PNI Modified)
methods. 1.2 studying the development guidelines for school administrators under
the Office of Basic Education Commission Yala Province to have innovative leadership,
data was gathered from six samples, obtained by a purposive sampling technique. The
tool used was a semi-structured interview, and content synthesis was employed for
data analysis, and 1.3 to create the model of innovative leadership for school
administrators. Process 2: evaluating the effectiveness of innovative leadership model
for school administrators which the target group was 28 school administrators,
obtained population from the Office of Basic Education Commission Yala Province.
The tool used was the effectiveness of model evaluation form. Statistics used for data
analysis involved means and standard deviations.
The research results showed that:
1. Creating the model of innovative leadership for school administrators
in education sandbox under the Office of Basic Education Commission Yala Province
was a text model comprising eight components which were 1) objectives of model,
2) principles of model, 3) systems and mechanisms, 4) procedures of model, 5) evaluation
guidelines of model, 6) description of model, 7) conditions of model implementation,
and 8) manual of model implementation development.
2. The evaluation of the effectiveness of innovative leadership model for
school administrators under the Office of Basic Education Commission Yala Province
considered based on four educational assessment standards developed by the
education assessment criteria development committee was found that overall
innovative leadership model for school administrators was at high level ( = 4.35,
= 0.70) . When considered each aspect, usefulness showed the most effective
( = 4.40, = 0.66), followed by feasibility ( = 4.38, = 0.69), appropriateness
( = 4.33, = 0.70) , and accuracy was found the least effective ( = 4.30, =
0.73).
