The Needs for Participatory Administration in Educational Institutions Based on Sustainable Development Concepts Under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Are an Office 3
Abstract:
This research aimed to 1) study the needs assessment for participatory management in educational institutions based on sustainable development concepts under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, and 2) explore recommendations for devel oping participatory management according to sustainable development principles in these educational institutions. The sample consisted of 322 school administrators and teachers from the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3, determined using Krejcie and Morgan's (1970) sample size table and selected through simple random sampling. The study employed a mixed methods approach, utilizing both quantitative (questionnaires) and qualitative (interviews) research instruments. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Modified Priority Needs Index (PNImodified). The research findings revealed that: 1) The highest need for participatory management based on sustainable development concepts was in the area of decision-making according to sustainable development principles. The current conditions were rated at a high level, while the desired conditions were rated at the highest level. 2) Three key recommendations were identified for developing participatory management according to sustainable development principles in educational institutions under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3
