Abstract:
The two objectives of this study are: 1) To develop a model of model of instruction and content of elective courses from Burapha University students. 2) to study
the causal relationship between teaching and learning management model assessment of learning content resources and facilities for teaching and learning for free elective courses and the implementation of elective courses. The results found that the motivation in the study of the students in the elective courses consisted of 3 main factors composed by teaching and learning model, content and factors for supporting teaching. Weight of factors affecting motivation in studying in elective courses by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) by 9 qualified persons, it was found that the components of classroom conditions and various audio-visual devices were readily available for teaching and learning management were highest importance weighted at 74.97%, and component of electronic resource elements for further education such as websites, blogs, were the lowest importance weighted at 10.04 %. The developing model of instruction and content in elective course from students of Burapha university Chonburi province, by the principle of Structural Equation Model (SEM) was obtained in the MIMIC Model, which consists of 17 indigenous variable (X) number. and 6 Endogenous Variable (Y). Data were collected from a sample of 146 students, the statistical test was performed with the program of LISREL 10.00 Student version. It was found that the Relative chi-square was based on the criteria of Herbert W. Marsh (1985), using the ratio during 2 5 which the value obtained from is equal to 3.630, can therefore be considered teaching and learning management model and the content of elective courses were harmoniously consistent with the empirical data at a fair level. And it was found that the participation in teaching and learning both in teaching hours and assignments of elective courses, the overall influence on the motivation to study elective courses to achieve the highest is 2.52. The suggestion from research, consideration of concerning factors Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the developing and testing of the instruction management model and the content of free elective courses by Structural Equation Model (SEM) can be applied for research in teaching and learning in other subject groups and at other educational levels appropriately.
