Abstract:
This research aims to study the behavior of student participation in developmental activities and their desire to participate in such activities. The population in this study includes students from the Faculty of Applied Science at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, with 279 students, and from the Faculty of Science at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, with 83 students. The sample size was determined using the Yamane formula at a 95 percent confidence level. The data were analyzed qualitatively using Chi Square statistics to examine relationships and differences. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The findings revealed that the students who participated in developmental activities were mostly those with an extroverted personality, female, in their first year of study, with a cumulative GPA between 2.50 and 2.99. They received information about activities from friends or student groups. Personality and year of study were found to be related to student participation in developmental activities, whereas gender and GPA had no significant relationship with participation. Furthermore, most students expressed a desire to join recreational activities organized in the first semester."
