Abstract:
This research aimed to study 1) the level of teamwork among teachers and educational personnel in schools under the Office of Loei Primary Educational Service Area 1, 2) explore the guidelines for developing and promoting teamwork among teachers and educational personnel in schools under the Office of Loei Primary Educational Service Area 1.
The sample consisted of 297 teachers and educational personnel. The research instruments were a 35-item rating scale questionnaire (5-point scale) with a reliability of 0.977 and a semi-structured interview. Key informants included one educational administrator and four school principals. Content analysis was used to synthesize the qualitative data, and descriptive statistics were employed for quantitative analysis.
The research findings were as follows:
1. The overall level of teamwork among teachers and educational personnel was high. The highest mean score was in communication, followed by shared goals, mutual respect, participation, interaction, and trust, which had the lowest mean.
2. Guidelines for enhancing teamwork among teachers and educational personnel include: 1) Communication: Promote effective, systematic, and modern communication with an emphasis on positive, two-way communication that includes school administrators, teachers, students, and parents, and develops communication skills among personnel. 2) Participation: Clearly define shared goals, encourage involvement in goal setting, assign clear roles and responsibilities, and foster collaborative processes. 3) Involvement: Create an open communication environment that values all opinions and encourages inclusive planning and decision-making, leading to pride in collaborative achievements.
4) Trust: Encourage honest, transparent, and polite communication in a friendly, family-like atmosphere while supporting and recognizing the work of teachers and staff. 5) Mutual Respect: Support free expression and equal voice for everyone, promote respect at all levels, encourage collaborative responsibility, and sincerely acknowledge achievements. 6) Interaction: Organize regular joint activities to foster a friendly, psychologically safe atmosphere, and encourage deeper interpersonal connections through appropriate personal sharing.
