Abstract:
The objectives of this study were 1) to study the level of self-development of teachers in schools, 2) to compare self-development of teachers in schools, classified by education level teaching experience and school size, and 3) to study the self-development guidelines of teachers in schools under the Uttaradit Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The samples were 302 Teachers in schools under the Uttaradit Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 by Kracie and Morgan's table by stratified random sampling. The tool used was a 5-level questionnaire (Rating scales), confidence 0.93 and validity. was between 0.80-1. Statistics used to analyze data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Schdffe's test.
The results revealed that:
1. The level of self-development of teachers in schools under the Uttaradit Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 as a whole and each aspect were at a high level.
2. To compare the level of self-development of teachers in schools under the Uttaradit Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, classified by educational level. It was found that in overall and each aspect were not different, classified by teaching experience and school size overall statistically significant difference at .05 level.
3. Guidelines for self-development of teachers in schools 1) The training, all teachers should be encouraged to receive continuous training in the line of recruiting experts for training. 2) The educational visits, all teachers should be encouraged to go on a study visit as needed. From village sages to promote academic pursuits together with schools and other agencies.3) On continuing education, providing scholarships to support further study leave 4) The seminars, all teachers have the opportunity to attend seminars to exchange professional knowledge and create a learning network. 5) Academic output creation, motivation to create academic output, give advice, build a body of knowledge, develop academic output from experts, supervise and follow up performance continuously and systematically.
