Visionary leadership of school administrators affecting performance effectiveness of teacher under the secondary educational service area office Nonthaburi
Abstract:
The purposes of this study were 1) study the level of visionary leadership of school administrators under the Office of the Nonthaburi Secondary Education Area 2) study the level of work performance of teachers under the Office of the Nonthaburi Secondary Education Area 3) The overall performance effectiveness of teachers under the Office of the Nonthaburi Secondary Education Area was at high level. 4) study the effect of visionary leadership of school administrators on the work performance of teachers under the Office of the Nonthaburi Secondary Education Area 321 school administrators and teachers under the Office of the Nonthaburi Secondary Education Area were selected from the sampling table of Krejcie; & Morgan (1970: 608). Then, they were randomly selected using stratified proportional sampling using multi-campus as stratum and simple random sampling. The tools used to collect data were 5 in terms of visionary leadership affecting teachers' performance, the content validity was between .60 - 1.00, the discrimination power was between .45 - .93, and the reliability was .981. The instruments used were questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The research results found that 1. The level of visionary leadership of school administrators under the Office of the Nonthaburi Secondary Education Area was at a high level overall. When considering each aspect, it was found that all aspects were at a high level. Ranked from highest to lowest average values were: Vision Creation, Vision Implementation, Vision Dissemination, and Being a Good Role Model, with the lowest average values. 2. Overall, the work performance of teachers under the Nonthaburi Secondary Educational Service Area Office was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was at a high level in all aspects. When considering each aspect, it was at the highest level in 2 aspects and high in 3 aspects. Ranked from highest to lowest average values were: Self-development and professional development, learning management, creative cooperation with others in the community, and creative interaction with others in the educational institution, with the lowest average values. 3. Visionary leadership of school administrators and work performance of teachers under the Nonthaburi Secondary Educational Service Area Office were highly positively related, with statistical significance at the .01 level, with a correlation coefficient of .910. The pair with the highest relationship was being a good role model and management, and the pair with the lowest relationship was: Vision Dissemination and Creative Interaction with Others in the Educational Institution. 4. Visionary leadership of school administrators affecting work performance of teachers under the Nonthaburi Secondary Educational Service Area Office At the .05 statistical significance level, there were three components with the best predictive power: being a good role model, creating a vision, and disseminating a vision. The component with the best predictive power was being a good role model with a prediction coefficient of .626, followed by creating a vision and disseminating a vision with a prediction coefficient of .172 and .145, respectively. The three components together explained 84 percent of the variance in teachers' performance effectiveness and had a prediction error of ±.156.
