Abstract:
This article presents the water pump control system that uses solar
cells as an energy source for rice farming using IOT. It's controlling the amount
of water sufficient for the growth of rice plants, to promotes the use of
renewable energy and uses water to maximize value in the drought season.
Which consists of a solar cell system for water pumps output diameter 3 inches,
AC motor 1 phase 50 Hertz 2.2 kW, Measurement, data collection and
processing node, water supply control node and the connecting to the internet
system node. The test was designed for a rice field with an area of 400 square
meters in the period from December 2019 to March 2020. By measuring data
such as temperature, amount of light, humidity, wind speed, wind direction and
water level, as well as processing and controlling the solar cell system for
pumping water to the rice fields and switch to the water storage pond when the
rice fields, enough water with electric valves. The test results show that the
water pumping system controls supply the water in the rice fields according to
the humidity set point and stops supply the water switch to the channel for
mangoes according to the water set point.
