The Model of a Happy Workplace Through Buddhist Peaceful Means with Dhamma Music, Inspired by the Buddhamahametta Foundation: A Case Study of Flâneur Tea Café
Abstract:
This research aimed to study The Model of a Happy Workplace Through Buddhist Peaceful Means with Dhamma Music, Inspired by the Buddhamahametta Foundation: A Case Study of Flâneur Tea Café with three objectives: 1) To analyses the environment of Flâneur Tea Café and study the theories of Happiness workplace, 2) To study Buddhist Peaceful Means and Dhamma music promoting happiness in the workplace, and 3) To present the Model of a Happy Workplace Through Buddhist Peaceful Means with Dhamma Music at Flâneur Tea Café. This study employed qualitative research by using case study research design. The data were collected from both primary and secondary sources. The primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with the café owner, employees, and customers of Flâneur Tea Café, including observation and environmental assessment. The research tools included structured interviews, observation forms, and SWOT analysis. The data were analyzed by content analysis, thematic analysis, and SWOT analysis within the framework of SAPPAYA 7 principles.
The results of the research found that: 1) The environment of Flâneur Tea Café supports happiness workplace by enhancing spatial design, clean and organized space, natural elements, peaceful atmosphere, and the application of Dhamma music, which together created a sense of relaxation, mindfulness, and positive interaction between employees and customers. 2) The Buddhist Peaceful Means and the integration of Dhamma music contributed to stress reduction, enhancing mindfulness, supporting emotional regulation, fostering compassion, and building ethical communication in the workplace. 3) The proposed Model of Happiness Workplace demonstrated that the application of all SAPPAYA 7 principles  suitable dwelling, suitable location, suitable environment, suitable food, suitable speech, suitable people, and suitable doctrine  could holistically contribute to designing and managing the environment atmosphere for making a happiness workplace. The model integrates environmental design, ethical service, mindfulness practice, and peaceful communication to create a harmonious working environment, promoting both individual well-being and organizational sustainability.
