Abstract:
This thesis has the following objectives: 1) to study the motivation for practicing Dhamma of Buddhists at Wat Thong Niam, Nong Khaem District, Bangkok; 2) to compare the motivation for practicing Dhamma of Buddhists at Wat Thong Niam, Nong Khaem District, Bangkok, and 3) to study suggestions regarding the motivation for practicing Dharma among Buddhists at Wat Thong Niam, Nong Khaem District, Bangkok. The study population was 130 people. The research mean was a questionnaire. Statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. T-test and one-way ANOVA test was also included. Analyzing mean differences was performed for each pair by Scheffe's method (Post Hoc).
The research results found that:
1. Results of data analysis on the motivation for practicing Dhamma of Buddhists at Wat Thong Niam, Nong Khaem District, Bangkok in overall was at a high level ( overline x = 3.86 ) When considering each aspect, it was found that the need for happiness and peace of mind aspect was the highest average ( overline x = 4.33 ) followed by the residential aspect ( overline x = 4.18 ) But the need for stability and safety aspect got the lowest average ( overline x = 3.09 ) respectively.ท
2. Results of comparing data on motivation for practicing Dhamma of Buddhists at Wat Thong Niam, Nong Khaem District, Bangkok, with different gender, age, and educational level and experiences in practicing Dhamma in overall are not significantly different at the .05 level.
3. Suggestions regarding the motivation for practicing Dhamma of Buddhists at Wat Thong Niam, Nong Khaem District, Bangkok are as follows: 1. The problem of using communication tools during meditation time. 2. Not enough monk to carry out the work and not diverse for duty. 3. Not enough air conditioner in the practice area due to hot temperature. 4. Not appropriate the practitioner's accommodations and bathrooms.
