Abstract:
This research aimed to: 1) study the administration and management guidelines of educational institutions according to the principles of Brahmavihāra Dhamma for secondary school administrators in Mueang District, Udon Thani Province; 2) propose administration guidelines for educational institutions based on Brahmavihāra Dhamma for secondary school administrators in Mueang District, Udon Thani Province. The sample group consisted of 276 participants, with 9 key informants interviewed. Quantitative data was analyzed using basic statistics, while qualitative data was examined through content analysis.
The research results were as follows:
1. The study found that administrators and teachers rated their opinions on the administration and management of educational institutions based on Brahmavihāra Dhamma at the highest level overall. The ranking from highest to lowest was: Mudita (sympathetic joy) in personnel administration; Mettā (loving-kindness) in personnel administration; Upekkhā (equanimity) in personnel administration and Karuṇā (compassion) in personnel administration.
2. Guidelines for school administration based on Brahmavihāra Dhamma suggest that administrators should: plan to utilize existing personnel efficiently for maximum benefit; allow personnel the freedom to use their experience to perform their duties to the best of their ability; take responsibility for creatively solving issues in personnel administration; collect performance evaluations systematically and inform personnel about the evaluation criteria in advance, ensuring fairness and transparency.
