Abstract:
The purposes of this thesis were: 1) to study the attitudes towards giving in Buddhism Lad Bua Khao Temple (Ratchayotha), 2) to study and compare the attitudes toward giving of Buddhists at Wat Lad Bua Khao (Ratchayotha) classified by independent variables, 3) to study the recommendations on giving of Buddhists at Lat Bua Khao Temple (Rajyotha) Saphan Sung, Bangkok. The research was quantitative and survey research. The tools used in the research were questionnaires determined 196 sample heads by opening the tables of Krejcie and Morgan.
The results showed that attitudes toward giving alms of Buddhists who come to eat at Wat Lat Bua Khao (Ratchayotha) overall were at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that faith in Buddhism, followed by the faith in the reputation of the temple, and the virtue of giving, respectively.
The comparative results of the attitude towards giving of Buddhists at Wat Lad Bua Khao (Ratchayotha), Saphansoong, Bangkok with gender, age, education level, occupation, and frequency of entering the temple concerning on the attitude towards giving overall was not different which is not in accordance with the assumptions done. Considering each aspect, it was found that the Buddhists with different gender, age, level of education, occupation, and frequency of entering the temple had the attitude towards giving no difference opposing the hypothesis done.
Suggestions on giving to Buddhists at Wat Lat Bua Khao (Ratchayotha), Saphan Sung, Bangkok were that Buddhists should be taught and strictly practiced Dhamma, the faithful conducts of Bhikkhus, following Dhamma and discipline in which people become faithful in Sangha and Buddhism, cleaning temple with peaceful and natural atmosphere for visiting of temple, having learning resources, Buddhism promotion section and philanthropy with easy access by using social media, such as donation through QR code, etc., creating close relationships with the community, providing the knowledge of benefits, advantages or fruits of giving taught by Buddhism in order to lead to practicality that produces attainable results.
