Abstract:
Objectives of this research were: 1. To study the level of management of the modeled developed monastery at Kong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. 2. To compare the Administrative Monksopinions on the management of the modeled developed monastery at Kong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, classified by personal factors, and 3 . To present the management guidelines for the modeled developed monastery at Kong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, conducted by the mixed methods. The quantitative research, data were collected by questionnaires with a confidence value of 0.850 from 205 samples who were administrative monks at the Sangha administrative area of Kong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The data were analyzed by a ready-madesocial science program using descriptive statistics: percentages, averages, standard deviations and inferential statistics: t-test, and F-test. The qualitative research, data were collected by in-depth interviewing 10 key informants and analyzed by descriptive interpretation.
Findings were as follows:
1. Management of the modeled developed monastery at Kong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, by overall, was at high level (x̅=3.56, S.D.=0.53) and when considered each aspect on a case-by-case basis, it was found that the aspect with the highest average was Administration ( x̅= 3.58, S. D. = 0.61) , followed by promotion and development of education (x̅=3.57, S.D.=0.58) and the aspect with the least average value was social development (x̅=3.53, S.D.=0.48)
2. Comparison of monks opinions on the management of the modeled developed monastery at Kong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, classified by personal factors, was found that the monks with different ages, Lent, levels of Dharma education, and general education levels did not have different opinions on the management of the modeled developed monastery at Kong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Therefore, the set research hypothesis was rejected.
3. Guidelines for the management of modeled developed monastery at Kong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province were management principles consisted of: Planning, Implementation of the plan, audit. operational Improvement Therefore, when the above management principles were the catalyst for the management of modeled developed monastery at Kong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province in 5 aspects as follows: 1) Environmental Management; Manage the environment inside monasteries to be a shady place. Beautiful, clean, safe, suitable for practicing Dharma and carrying out various activities. 2) Promotion and Development of Education; The monastery emphasized the importance of serving as a center of learning, a source of knowledge transfer, and instilling morality, ethics, and good values for children and youths. 3) Organizing activities to promote morality and ethics; Promote morality and ethics for all groups of people, the monastery was the spiritual center of the community, a place for religious activities, moral training, and moral ethics promotion, and a good role model for the people.4) Administration; emphasizingon the principles of mercy, benevolence, and justice, based on the Dharma and Vinaya, regulations of the Sangha, behaving in frame of laws. 5) Social development; providing relief assistance in various fields to the people, relief for the needy victim assistance. Facilitate the use of the monastery premises to hold various activities.
