Abstract:
Objectives of this research were: 1. To study the level of promotion of youth participation in Buddhist activities at Chokchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, 2. To study the relationship between the principle of participation in ethical creation in school and promotion of youth participation in Buddhist activities at Chokchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, 3. To present a guideline for promoting the youth participation in Buddhist activities at Chokchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province The research methodology was the mixed research methods. The quantitative researchby survey method, collected data using questionnaires with total confidence value of 0.985 and data were collected from samples of 311 youths who were studying in high school at Chokchai District, and the data were analyzed by a ready-made social science program using statistics, percentages, averages, standard deviations and Pearsons correlation coefficient. The qualitative research, data were collected by in-depth-interviewing 10 key informants and analyzed by descriptive content analysis techniques.
Findings were as follows:
1. The level of promotion of youth participation in Buddhist activities at Chokchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, by overall, was at a high level (x̅=3.60, S.D.=0.74). Each aspect, when considered on a case-by-case basis, was found that the aspect with the highest average value was the practice on important Buddhist days (x̅=3.63, S.D.=0.80), followed by mental management and wisdom development (x̅=3.60, S.D.=0.82), and the aspect with the lowest average was the performance of Buddhist duties (x̅=3.58, S.D.=0.82).
2. The relationship between the principle of participation in ethical creation in schools and the promotion of participation in Buddhist activities of youth at Chokchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, by overall, were found that the principle of participation in ethical creation in schools, by overall, had a positive relationship with the promotion of youth participation in Buddhist activitie at Chokchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, by overall, was at a moderate level (r)=0.554**.accepted the set research hypothesis
3. Guidelines for Promoting Youth Participation in Buddhist Activities at Chokchai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province were found that the principles of participation in promoting ethical creation in schools including creating awareness, creating leaders, and determining the moral identity of the school. and the determination of how to achieve the morality of the school's identity. When the principle of participation in ethical creation in schools was mentioned above. It was a promoter of the effectiveness of ethical creation in the above schools. It was a catalyst for the effectiveness of promoting the youth participation in Buddhist activities at Chokchai District. The three aspects were as follows: 1) The performance of Buddhist duties, including: Encourage good deeds according to the example of people with good behavior who were praised, encourage students to learn to behave according to Buddhist duties, encourage students to participate in activities to apply Buddhist principles in daily life. 2) Mental management and wisdom development; Promoting schools to organize monthly alms giving activities, encourage mental management and wisdom development by sitting in meditation. and practicing Buddhist teachings for better academic results. 3) Practice on important Buddhist days, including encouraging students to participate in activities on important Buddhist days.
