Abstract:
The entitled thesis is consisted of following objectives;- (1) to study of Majjhimãpaṭipadã (2) to study of the lifestyle under the Covid-19 situation and (3) to analyze the lifestyle under the Covid-19 situation according to the Buddhism. It is documentary research and its analysis is description.
The results of the research are as follows:-
Dhamma on Majjhimãpaṭipadã means the balance of practice between the extreame ways;- (1) Kãmasukhallikãnuyoga, it is attachment in form, sound, smell, taste, touch.This is called by a western thinker Matterialism and Attakilamathãnuyoga, it is the attachment of self-mortification without food, water, sleeping. This is called by the western thinker Idealism. The Buddha introduces us to Middle path as Right (Samma) concerning Dhamma Vision including right practice being stated from Right View, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness and Right Meditation. This ways is regarded as a signg way (Ekãyano Maggo) leading to freedom of suffering, namely; Nippãna.
In the situation of Covid-19, it made people over the world suffer, unsafety, much dangerous, terrible communication, a food, water with poison. Although hospital is full of dangers. The people People are confused all time. This makes our life free from happiness. Someone is crazy. In which, the Buddha tought us to be righteous in thought, speech, action, in understanding of real nature of life as the state of suffering, the cause of suffering, the cessation of suffering and the way leading to cessation of suffering really done by selfcontroling in the Middle Way (the Eightfold Path) concluded in a short word Sĩla, Samãdhi and Paññã.
The way of life under the situation of Covid-19 according to Majjhimãpaṭipadã is 3 sides in developments of life (1) bodily side, it is Sila controlling body behavior of oneself for following orders, discipline of Republic Health, i.e. hot eating, middle stack, wash hands, Wearing a mask, social distance, (2) mental side, it is right vision as Sammã following doctorial Healing. To do understanding according to Noble Truth-4; i.e. to be the state of probles, the cause of problems, the cessation of problems and how to solve the cessation of problems and (3) wisdom side, it is knowledge and realization in disease problems, to heal it, to solve it and to be victory from Buddhist wisdom with Yonisomanasikãra. That is middle practice without too fear. Meanwhile, it is not anty to official order. This is bodily, mental balance. In which, its is model of knowledge Regulation, Intention Treatment, Real Knowledge in Majjhimãpaṭipadã.
