Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the conditions of motivation for teachers' work, 2) to study methods for promoting motivation for work according to the principle Titthadhammicattha views of the teachers, 3) to propose guidelines for promoting motivation for work according to the principle Titthadhammicattha views of the teachers in the Wang Cholasin School Group Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Mixed methods research was designed by collecting data from a population of 136 teachers. Statistics used for the analysis were the mean, standard deviation and used content analysis to analyze data from interviews with 5 key informants.
The research results found that:
1. Conditions of motivation for teachers' work in overall and every aspect were at high level including the work environment,relationship with co-workers, opportunities for advancement in positions, governance, nature of work, and compensation and welfare, respectively.
2. Results of the study of methods for promoting motivation for work according to the principle Titthadhammicattha views of the teachers consisted of 1) working environment, administrators are diligent in checking and providing regular care to all educational personnel as well as inspecting the environment within the educational institution in a friendly manner with all educational personnel; 2) relationships with co-workers, waiting to help all teachers who are in trouble with friendliness; 3) opportunities for advancement in positions, administrators encourage teachers to diligently study and acquire knowledge to develop themselves and maintain their positions; 4) governance, administrators are diligent in performing their duties to the best of their ability; 5) the nature of the work performed, administrators consider the suitability of the work with the knowledge and abilities of the teachers responsibility; and 6) compensation and welfare, administrators consider salary increases with transparency and giving rewards to teachers who perform well in order to maintain their merit as motivation.
3. Guidelines for promoting motivation for work according to the principle Titthadhammicattha views of the teachers all 6 areas were 1) working environment, administrators regularly check and provide care to all educational personnel as well as taking care of the buildings learning resources within schools are always available for use to maintain the interests and reputation of the school; 2) relationships with co-workers, administrators should encourage good relationships with teachers and all personnel, be friendly to all personnel, and live with consciousness; 3) opportunities for advancement in positions, give opportunities to teachers who are talented, determined, and dedicated to their work and maintain good work duties forever and earn a living righteously; 4) governance, promote commitment and determination to perform duties assigned by superiors and maintain them to the best of their ability; 5) the nature of the work performed, encourage teachers to be diligent in performing their assigned tasks and maintain results performing one's own duties without fail and being friendly to all co-workers; and 6) compensation and welfare, consider salary increases based on the performance of personnel duties according to the criteria evaluating salary increases with transparency to protect the interests of personnel and helping in urgent situation."
