Factors influencing intention to use information technology to support management in the digital age of generation X and generation Y employees cade study : ABC Public Company Limited
Abstract:
The research in this study aims to investigate the different personal factors and factors that
influence expectations regarding to efficiency, effort, and social influence on the intention to use
information technology to support digital management in ABC Company Limited (Public Company).
The research methodology used in this study is quantitative research with a questionnaire as the data
collection tool. The statistical analysis methods employed include frequency, percentage, mean,
standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The sample group for this research comprises 150
employees from primary management to department managers belonging to Generation X and
Generation Y.
The study's findings indicate that employees with different personal factors such as
gender, age, job tenure, and department affiliation have no significant difference in their intention to use
information technology, except for employees with different education levels. It was found that the
intention to use information technology differs significantly at a significance level of 0.05. Specifically,
employees with education levels lower than a bachelor's degree have a lower intention to use
information technology than those with a bachelor's degree. Additionally, employees with education
levels lower than a bachelor's degree have a lower intention to use information technology than those
with a master's or higher. Through the Multiple Linear Regression statistical analysis, it was found that
the factors related to performance expectations, effort expectations, and social influence of Generation
all three factors have an impact on employees' intention to use information technology in ABC
Company Limited (Public Company) at a significance level of 0.01.
