Abstract:
The proposes of this study were to 1) compare the learning achievement in Social Studies of Prathomsuksa 5 students before and after learning by Problem-based learning management and 2) compare the learning achievement in Social Studies of Prathomsuksa 5 students after learning by Problem-based learning management with the criteria 70 % of full score. The samples were 30 Prathomsuksa 5 students of Thetsaban Watsaitai School obtained by multistage random sampling. The instruments in this study were 1) a lesson plans concerning the learning management by Problem-based with the most appropriate (x̅ = 4.59, S.D. = 0.37) and 2) the test of achievement in Social Studies with 30 items, 4 multiple choices from with the validity between 0.67 - 1.00, the difficulty between 0.39 - 0.70, the discrimination between 0.32 - 0.80, and the reliability at 0.91. The data were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, t-test for dependent samples and t-test for one sample.
The results of study were as follows:
1. The Prathomsuksa 5 students were received the Problem-based learning management had the mean score before learning as 14.50, standard deviation as 4.49 and after learning had the mean score as 22.23, standard deviation as 3.64. The comparison of the learning achievement before and after learning was found that the learning achievement after learning higher than before learning with statistically significance at the .05 level.
2. The Prathomsuksa 5 students were received the Problem-based learning management had the mean score after learning as 22.23, standard deviation as 3.64. The comparison of the learning achievement after learning and the criteria 70 % of full score was found that the learning achievement after learning higher than the criteria with statistically significance at the .05 level.
