Abstract:
Research on Social development in the dimension of the Eightfold Path has the following objectives: 1) To study the problem situation. Obstacles to social development 2) To develop society in the dimension of the Eightfold Path. 3) To present guidelines for social development in the dimension of the Eightfold Path. The researcher used an integrated research method, including quantitative research. With survey research, questionnaires were distributed from a sample of 400 photos/persons using statistics, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. and qualitative research By interviewing the monks Lecturer in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Phuket Rajabhat University Social and Human Security Developer, Phuket Province Phuket Provincial Local Administrative Organization Director of Phuket Provincial Buddhism Office and Phuket culture, 15 people. The results of the research found that: 1. Conditions, problems, and obstacles to social development Overall, it is at a moderate level. When considering each aspect, it was found that every element had problems at a moderate level. The aspect with the highest average is the problem of income inequality, followed by environmental problems and deteriorating tourist attractions. Economic problems arising from the economic life safety Problem of shortage of qualified tourism personnel Problems with public health services public sector management problems foreign worker problems, and Problems with water management for consumption, respectively, the aspect with the lowest average is the problem of infrastructure development. 2. Social development in the dimension of the Eightfold Path is mostly at a high level. When considering each item, it was found that almost every item can be applied at a high level. The aspect with the highest average was the application of the right livelihood to solve social problems, followed by applying the right livelihood to solve social problems.
