Abstract:
This research was to study the removal of native textile dyes by rice straw cellulose powder (RCP) and rice straw cellulose filter membrane (RCF), Rice straw was prepared by bleaching with 10% w/v hydrogen peroxide solution and treated by sodium hydroxide solution. To study the effectiveness of removal of 3 reactive dyes (Blue G, Red SBN, and Yellow RN). The experiment was conducted in the batch experiment. It was found that the amount of RCP of 2.5 g concentration of 3 reactive dyes solution 15 mg/L contact time at 60 min the percentage of adsorption were 91.37, 92.27, and 97.20 respectively. The color value after the adsorption was lower than 300 ADMI (standard value of wastewater industry). From the results of the above study, to study the effectiveness of removal 3 reactive dyes of RCF size 9.5x9.5 centimeters. Found that the percentage of adsorption was 72.79, 79.53, and 82.51 respectively. Furthermore, to study the Pseudo-Second Order model was applied for fitting experimental data of 3 dyes adsorption by RCP. The adsorption mechanism was consistent with Langmuir isotherm. Therefore, RCP could be used as an alternative bioadsorbent for reactive dyes removal in native textile dyes wastewater.
