The Effects of Cooperative Learning Management by STAD Technique with Plickers Application on Learning Achievement and Satisfaction in English Subjects of Prathomsuksa 3 Students
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to 1) compare the learning achievement of Prathomsuksa 3 Students between before and after cooperative learning management by STAD technique with Plickers application 2) compare the learning achievement of Prathomsuksa 3 Students after cooperative learning management by STAD technique with Plickers application and the criteria 80% of full score, and 3) study the satisfaction towards learning in English Subject of Prathomsuksa 3 Students after cooperative learning management by STAD technique with Plickers application. The samples were 34 Prathomsuksa 3 Students of BanWangkham (Sawangchaiwong) School obtained by cluster random sampling. The instruments were 1) the 6 lesson plans concerning the cooperative learning management by STAD technique with Plickers application with the high appropriate (X̅ = 4.49, S.D. = 0.03) 2) the achievement test with the validity between 0.67 1.00, the difficulty between 0.20 0.80 the discrimination between 0.20 - 0.47 and the reliability as 0.93 and 3) the assessment form of satisfaction toward learning in English Subject with the validity between 0.67 1.00 the discrimination between 0.31 - 0.66 and the reliability as 0.81 The data were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation, t-test for dependent sample and t-test for one sample.
The research findings were as follows:
1. The Prathomsuksa 3 Students were received the cooperative learning management by STAD technique with Plickers application had the mean score before learning as 17.09, standard deviation as 4.30, and after learning had the mean score as 25.15, standard deviation as 3.84. The comparison of the learning achievement before and after was found that the learning achievement after learning higher than before statistically significant at the .05 level.2. The Prathomsuksa 3 students received the learning by cooperative learning management using the STAD technique with the Plickers application. The mean score after learning was 25.15, with a with a standard deviation of 3.84. The comparison of the learning achievement and the criteria of 80% of the full score found that the learning achievement after learning was higher than the criteria of 80% of the full score statistically significant at the.05 level.
3. The Prathomsuksa 3 students received cooperative learning management by STAD technique with Plickers application and had satisfaction toward learning in English at the high level (X̅ = 2.86, S.D. = 0.13).
