A Construction of Strategic Management Guidelines to Enhance the Degree of Professional Ethics of Teachers in Preschool Education Colleges: A Case Study of Jinan Preschool Teachers College, China
Abstract:
Since the founding of the country, development of the country through science and education and strengthening the country through human resources had been the strategic policy of the Party and the State. The healthy development of the teaching force depended on teachers in the final analysis. Teacher ethics was an inherent requirement for cultivating a high-quality teaching force, and having a high quality teaching force was the key to promoting quality education and doing a good job of education to the satisfaction of the people. This study had two purposes: 1) to investigate the status quo of teachers' professional ethics and problems in preschool education colleges; 2) to construct a strategic guide to improve teachers' professional ethics in preschool education colleges. There were 201 teachers in Jinan Preschool Teachers College, and a sample of 134 teachers were surveyed, and the collected data were analyzed and interpreted, and then presented with the frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Finally, through the interviews of the samples, a guidebook of professional ethics for teachers in Jinan Pre-school Teachers College was constructed to provide reference for subsequent researchers. The main research results were as follows: 1) the obtained information about the current situation and problems of professional ethics of college teachers, the highest degree of problems, the mean was 4.57; the highest degree of the professional moral needs of college teachers, the mean was 4,96. The problems of teacher professional ethics, some teachers failed to achieve a comprehensive understanding, and there was a hard mentality, teachers should strengthen education on teacher ethics, conducted more activities related to teacher ethics, and strengthen teachers' awareness of teacher ethics. 2) Obtaining guidance on strategies for the construction of professional ethics for college teachers, including: cognitive aspect, emotional aspect, willingness aspect and behavioral aspect. It was found that the professional ethics of university teachers were influenced by multiple factors. In cognitive, emotional, volitional and behavioral aspects, teachers indicated different problems and needs. Only through long-term persistence and continuous improvement that the enhancement of teachers' professional ethics could be effectively improved
