Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to study and compare the administrative
problems in the student care system of small schools classified by position, education
level, and work experience. The sample consisted of 214 administrators and teachers
of small schools by using Krejcie & Morgan formula and multi-stage sampling. The tool
used to collect data was a questionnaire on the problems of the student care system
in small schools with the validity between 0.67 - 1.00 and the reliability at 0.96.
The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, t-test independent,
One-way analysis of variance, and posthoc test by Scheffe's method.
The study findings were as follows :
1. Problems with the operation of student care systems in small schools in
overall at the moderate level (X̅ = 2.86, S.D. = 0.35). When considering each aspect, it
was found that the aspect with the highest problems is the aspect of promoting
student development at the moderate level (X̅ = 3.22, S.D. = 0.75), followed by the
aspect of prevention and solving problems at the moderate level (X̅ = 3.05, S.D. = 0.58) and
the lowest was problems is knowing students individually at the low level (X̅ = 2.35,
S.D. = 0.53).
2. The comparison the problems of student care system operation in small
schools, classified by position and educational level, found that in overall were no
differences. But when classified according to work experience in the position, found
that in overall, were the statistically significance difference at .05 level. When
comparing pairs, there are 3 pairs are work experience in the position less than 5 years
and 510 years, work experience in the position less than 5 years and more than 10 years
and work experience in the position 510 years and more than 10 years.
