Abstract:
Underwater gliders are used for underwater explorations. Their advantages are low
energy consumption and long-range application. The paper studies the motion control problem
of the underwater glider. The simplified mathematical model of an underwater glider for depth
motion control is obtained. The study investigates the controller designs of PID controller. The
computer simulation shows the performance results of the proposed control schemes.
