Abstract:
The objectives of the research on Integration of the Buddha's Teaching Methods in Buddhist Based Schools are: 1) to study teaching methods in Buddhist based schools, 2) to study the Buddhas teaching methods, 3) to integrate the teaching methods in Buddhist based schools with the Buddhas teaching methods, and 4) to present guidelines and knowledge on "Integration of the Buddha's teaching methods in Buddhist Based Schools". The data of this qualitative research were collected from documents, research works, in-depth interviews with 15 experts, and focus group discussions with 8 experts, and then analyzed by content analysis. The results of the study indicated that: 1) The Buddhist based school has applied Buddhist principles to the development of learners by focusing on the development framework according to Tisikkha principles, which are practices through activities promoting eating, living, seeing and listening with the process of managing to learn the characteristics of "teaching, training and behaving. 2) The Buddhas teaching methods place a focus on learners and are adjusted to suit the differences individuals. In teaching, a good start contributes to a successful result. 3) Integrating the Buddhas teaching methods in conjunction with the learning activities in Buddhist based schools in all 5 areas: 1) Physical, 2) Teaching management, 3) Teachers and students behaviors, 4) Promoting the Buddhist way, and 5) Activities on Buddhist Holidays. 4) The knowledge gained from the research is called "SCN Model". It means integrative teaching of the Buddhist principles and the Buddhas teaching methods through the five areas of the Buddhist Based School to develop teachers to have good characteristics according to Buddhist doctrine and to develop students to gain knowledge, to be good, to be capable, to be happy and to live a valuable life in society appropriately.
