The researcher collected the data from the test results before and after the use of the package and utilized the package created improve the sight-reading skills for the students in the marching band. The package is divided into 2 practice sets: the simple time signatures and the compound time signatures. Each set is repeated 2 times, 40 minutes after school hours for each session. The package also includes the sight- reading tests at the end of each practice set to test the students during the use of the package. The assessment criteria are as follows: (1) fluency in note reading and playing, (2) rhythmic accuracy, (3) sound quality of instrument playing, and (4) accuracy in dynamics and articulation marks. The results show that the created package to improve the sight-reading skills gained an effectiveness value of 80.95/96.43 (percentage of test scores during the use of the package/percentage of test scores after the use of the package), higher than the designated value at 80/80. The test scores gained after engaging with the package to improve the sight-reading skills for the students in the marching band are higher than those gained before using the package with the statistical significance at the level of 0.05.
