The results of the research showed that:
"Life Skills" was publicized by The World Health Organization with the aim to
provide people to take care of themselves physically, mentally and emotionally.
There are 10 components as follows: 1) Critical thinking skills, 2) Creative thinking skills,
3) Self-awareness, 4) Understanding others, 5) Decision making skills, 6) Problem solving
skills, 7) Effective communication skills, 8) Interpersonal relationship building skills, 9)
Emotional management skills, and 10) Stress management skills divided into 4 areas:
1) physical development, 2) moral development, 3) Mental or emotional
development, and 4) Intellectual development.
The mindfulness with regard to the body as the reinforcement process in life
skills indicates that it is the practice of concentration on body components as hair on
the head, hair on the body, nails, teeth, skin, etc. as unclean, should not be attached
to, but should feel boredom on it. They are the practices to create 4 skills: 1) selfawareness skills, 2) reflection skills, 3) emotional management skills, and 4) problem
solving skills.
Physical consciousness as a process in enhancing Buddhist life skills indicates
that the practice of physical consciousness can originate wisdom in realizing body and
mind according to the Three Common Characteristics and it is in line with 2 methods
in life skills development; physical development and mental development.
