Abstract:
The spreading of the covid-19 virus is a serious situation that difficult to control. Because the virus can be attached on a surface of various object. Supermarket is one of the hazardous places that risk for infection. Due to the large number of involved people such as store staffs and customers. To restrain the spreading of the virus, a solution of eliminate virus has occurred. The UV-C radiation is one option that can eliminate the virus which has a limitation of the light's intensity that has to be sufficient. The experiment found that the distance at 5 centimetres and the velocity at 1centimetre per second of the UV-C radiation was able to disinfect the virus at 3 log-reduction. Therefore, to protect humans from the effects of radiation and able to eliminate the virus, resulting in the idea of attaching an UV-C lamp tube to the end-effector of the robot arm. It is proposed that human arm be used instead to emit UV-C radiation on a target area. In addition, the robot arm will be installed on an automated guided vehicle with already recorded moving path for moving to the desired area in the supermarket. The implementation of the robot-AGV found that the scenario 1 which is the patient's room, and the scenario 2 which is the laboratory, has a utilization at 76.70% and 91.41% respectively.
