The effects of flipped classroom teaching with web application using case based learning on problem-solving skills in computer programming of tenth grade student
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the students abilities in problem solving skill that learned by flipped classroom teaching with web application using case-based learning. 2) to compare pretest and posttest of learning achievement on flipped classroom teaching with web application using case-based learning. 3) to study the learning behaviors of samples. 4) to study students satisfaction on flipped classroom teaching with web application using case-based learning. The research samples used in this study were tenth grade at Krabyai Vongkusolkit Phitthayakhom School studying in first semester of academic year 2018. The samples were a classroom of 40 students by simple random sampling. The research instruments were 1) a structure interview form, 2) a lesson plans of flipped classroom teaching with web application using case-based learning, 3) Google Classroom web application, 4) a test of problem-solving skill in C computer programming, 5) the learning achievement test for C computer programming, 6) the behavior in flipped classroom teaching with web application using case-based learning observation form, and 7) questionnaire on students satisfaction on flipped classroom teaching with web application using case-based learning. The statistics used in this study were percentage, average scores standard deviation, reliability scores, validity scores, and the t-test dependent. The results of this research were as follow: 1) The students problem solving skill of C computer programming was excellent level ( average score = 16.75), 2) Posttest of the learning achievement of flipped classroom teaching with web application using case-based learning was higher than pretest at .01 level of significance, 3) The behaviors of students taught via flipped classroom teaching with web application using case-based learning was excellent (average score = 14.63), and 4) The student's satisfaction for flipped classroom teaching with web application using case-based learning overall were at a good level ( average score = 3.98, S.D. = 0.74)
