Abstract:
This research aimeds to investigate the factors influencing the choice of mobile online games among individuals in Thailand and the impact of these factors on players daily lives, with a particular focus on games provided by Garena Thailand. Additionally, the research examined the factors affecting in-game purchases and identified the most popular payment methods for mobile online games and their impact on players lifestyles. This study adopted the qualitative research method, using the semi-structured interview and the marketing mix concept of 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) The sample for this study consisted of 30 individuals who play mobile online games from Garena.
The findings indicate that players place significant importance on several factors that affect their gaming experience. These include the stability and modernity of the game system, high-quality and visually appealing graphics, distinctive and engaging characters, and the variety of products and activities offered by Garena. These elements collectively contribute to high levels of player satisfaction and continued preference for Garenas games. Furthermore, the study found that the most popular methods for making in-game purchases are financial apps and top-up cards, due to their convenience and effectiveness in meeting players needs. Pricing strategies and diverse promotional activities also play a crucial role in attracting and retaining players.
This research enhances the understanding of the factors influencing players choices for Garenas games and the effects of these factors on their daily lives. The insights gained from this study will be valuable for improving and developing Garena Thailands products and services to better meet player demands.
