Abstract:
This research aimed to: 1) investigate super leadership, and 2) propose a practical approach to super-leadership development of school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Pathum Thani.
The research samples consisted of 322 teachers under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Pathum Thani. The key informants in an interview included five school administrators from the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Pathum Thani. The research instruments were a questionnaire and an interview form. The data were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.
The findings were as follows: 1) the overall school administrators' super leadership was at the high level. 2) The proposed approach to super- leadership development of school administrators included the following: (1) regarding self- leadership, school administrators should encourage teachers to exercise self- leadership and adjust their administrative behavior in school administration appropriately. (2) In terms of a role model of self-leadership, school administrators should serve as a role model of self-leadership for the personnel and encourage them to apply the model in their work. (3) With respect to self-set goals, school administrators should encourage and assist the personnel to realize their schools goals. (4) As regards a positive mindset, school administrators should encourage positive work attitudes and a rational approach to problem solving. (5) In terms of facilitation of selfleadership development, school administrators should mentor the personnel supportively and build rapport. (6) Regarding encouragement of self-leadership through team building, school administrators should foster cooperation among the personnel, encourage them to develop themselves and their teams, and provide advice and consultation. (7) In regard to promotion of self-leadership culture, school administrators should exhibit executive behaviors that assist the personnel in various aspects.
