Abstract:
The damage to electric and electronic devices due to the quality of the power capacity has recently been found to be increasing. As the new electronic technological devices are very sensitive to the changes of voltage swell, this results in damage. The aim of this thesis is to multilevel voltage swell control for protecting damage in low voltage system that does not meet the standard measurement. In the design to find the AND logic voltage swell detector for the voltage swell over three stages, the safety 3 staged window comparator circuit is used to detect the level of voltage swell in the system. If the device detects the undesirable voltage level, the multi-level window comparator circuit will perform the safe failure function to prevent the system access to the dangerous condition. It will analyze the failure mode and effect according to the IEC 61496-1 standard measurement, resulting in the controlling of the voltage swell to provide safe usage. This device can be connected to the power system without affecting the power load in order to protect low-power electric and electronic devices from being damaged. As a result, the power system will become more stable.
