Abstract:
The research investigates the development of a farm control system in a virtual reality format to enable farmers to interact with the environment within the farm through simulated characters and smart farming that utilizes advanced technology. The focus is on empowering farmers to experiment with various environmental factors through a virtual trial platform, integrating IoT (Internet of Things) technology with Digital Twin systems. This integration aims to shift farmers\' perspectives and approaches to agriculture towards modern technology, allowing for the practical application of the system on farms. The research utilized Sunspace Farm in Chiang Mai, Thailand as a model farm, covering planning, design and development, testing, and real-world application. User satisfaction with the platform was evaluated through quantitative data collection, including a survey comprising three parts: general information, platform usage experience, and satisfaction level. The platform was tested by a group of 15 farmers in various sectors, with the testing focused on enhancing farmers\' understanding and openness to new experiences that could further develop and improve agricultural practices in the future.
