Talent Training for Tourism Management in Higher Vocational Colleges under the Background of Smart Tourism
Abstract:
The existence of smart tourism has changed the traditional tourism model and has brought a significant impact on tourists, tourism enterprises, and tourism management departments. Higher vocational colleges are an essential foundation for cultivating applied talents in the students to meet the tourism stakeholder qualification requirement. According to reviews from many articles, Tourism students' primary talent skills in smart tourism are still needed to meet the needs of tourism enterprises. Therefore, this article explores the influencing factors of Skills Training of Tourism Majors in Higher Vocational Colleges under the Background of Smart Tourism. Promote the talent development of higher vocational tourism professionals based on smart tourism to provide students with high skills, promote the transformation of school education methods, and improve students' smart tourism skills. It also plays a crucial role in its development and provides a reference for the subsequent development of smart tourism. Through literature research and data collation, combined with smart tourism enterprises and market demand, students' skills are divided into three dimensions: Smart Tourism Information Technology Skills (STITS), Smart Tourism Media Marketing Skills (STMMS), and Smart Tourism Innovation Skills (STIS). The acquisition of professional skills of tourism majors mainly comes from the careful planning of the school, and the school training and marketing level focuses on affecting the group of students' skills. Therefore, this study finds the influencing factors that affect the formation of smart tourism students' skills from the school. According to the collation of relevant literature on skills and professional skills of smart tourism talents, it is concluded that the factors affecting the skills of smart tourism students are four aspects: Smart Tourism Curriculum Setting (STCS), Smart Tourism Teaching Staff (STTS), Smart Tourism Practice (STP), Smart Tourism Teaching Facilities (STTF). Assumptions are made on the correlation among various influencing factors of students' skills in smart tourism, and a preliminary judgment is made on the model of factors affecting students' skills. Then, according to the model assumptions, the questionnaire was designed and modified through the three experts' item objective congruence and pre-investigation. Six tourism majors in Yunnan province's higher vocational colleges were selected to conduct a formal investigation through online questionnaires. The survey data is used to verify the research hypotheses. The development of smart tourism promotes the transformation of school education methods, and improving students' smart tourism skills also plays a crucial role in their development.
Moreover, it provides a reference for the follow-up training of smart tourism talents. It will help higher vocational tourism talents to better meet the needs of the smart tourism industry. It is conducive to improving the professional skills of higher vocational tourism talents in the context of smart tourism courses conducive to higher vocational tourism majors in line with smart tourism development. Lastly, it is helpful to provide a reference for further research on vocational education in the tourism industry.
