The associatation between online buying behavior and online buying risk before the COVID-19 situation
Abstract:
This study was conducted before the COVID-
19 outbreak situation in Thailand and aim to 1) study
online shopping behaviors, 2) study an online buying risk
perception, and 3) analyze the association between online
buying behavior and the perception of online buying risk.
The population of this study is an employee of both public
and private section who commit an online purchasing
within one year previous to the survey. Since the
population number is unknown, the survey used three
months as a time limit period of data collection. The
respondents' data was collected by a convenient method.
The survey's instrument is a questionnaire was developed
by the researcher. Data analysis was done by using
statistical means including descriptive statistics such as
frequency, percent, average, and standard deviation; and
hypothesis test statistics including chi-square and
Cramer's V coefficient value. The output of this study
split into two sections. In the first section, half of
respondents purchase product less than 10 orders per year,
and half of the respondent has a value of each order less
than 1,000 baht. In the second section, there is an
association between the number of orders per year and all
perceptions of online purchasing risk at the .05 significant
with a low Cramer's v coefficient.
