Abstract:
Currently, technology and personal mobile devices have become integral parts
of Thai society, influencing communication, learning, and working practices.
To enhance the potential of work and workers during the COVID-19 pandemic,
there has been a significant increase in remote work, leading to a greater reliance on
personal devices. Therefore, this research aims to investigate the factors influencing
the decision of operators to use Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) within an organization.
After collecting questionnaires and conducting related research, it was found that
the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) serves as
the conceptual framework for this study. The research utilized a sample of 342
individuals working both within and outside the organization who use personal mobile devices in Bangkok and its surrounding areas.
The analysis revealed that Performance Expectations, Effort Expectancy, Social
Influences, and Experience of Use all have an impact on usage attitudes and intentions
regarding the choice of personal mobile devices. Additionally, Perceived Behavior
Control and Perceived Risks in Use were also found to influence the decision-making
process.
