Abstract:
Research on the development of local curriculum on reading khutbah for secondary Islamic studies stage students, year 2 divided 2 parts part 1 to develop and find effectiveness local curriculum on reading khutbah part 2 to compare the cognition of the learners about local curriculum on reading khutbah for secondary Islamic studies stage students, year 2 before and after learning. to develop reading skill of khutbah. And to assess the students satisfaction with the local curriculum entitled reading khutbah for secondary Islamic studies stage students, year 2. There were 2 steps to conduct this research: 1) curriculum development phase; there were 3 experts to check the quality of the curriculum. 2) study of the results of the curriculum; there were 3 experts to check the quality by applying the curriculum to 25 students of secondary Islamic studies stage, year 2 at the Mohammadiyah School, who were randomly selected. The research instruments included a local curriculum on reading khutbah for secondary Islamic studies stage students, year 2 a set of Pre-Test and Post-Test assessment form of kutabah reading skills and a satisfaction questionnaire. The data was analyzed means, standard deviation, percentage and T-Test
The results of the research were as follows:
1.The local curriculum on reading khutbah for secondary Islamic studies stage students, year 2 had an overall average of 80.37/89.73, which translates to a higher efficiency value of 80/80
2.The cognition of the learners who took the local curriculum on reading khutbah for secondary Islamic studies stage students, year 2 after learning had statistically significantly higher than before at the .01 level.
3.The students who took the local curriculum on reading khutbah for secondary Islamic studies stage students, year 2had an overall equal to 86.96 which was higher than the specified threshold at 80 percentage.
4.The satisfaction of secondary Islamic studies stage students, year 2 with the local curriculum in reading Kudbah was at the highest level with the total mean of 4.53% and the standard deviation of 0.56.
