Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the level of administrative skill
of Islamic private school administrators in Pattani province, 2) to compare administrative
skills of Islamic private school administrators in Pattani province classified by gender,
age, school size and work experience, 3) to compile recommendations on administrative
skills of Islamic private school administrators in Pattani province. The sample used in
this research were 400 teachers from Islamic private schools in Pattani province.
The tools used for data collection was a questionnaire estimation scale, and open-
ended questions. The reliability was 0.98. Data were analyzed using a packaged
program. The statistics were the percentage, frequency, mean, standard Deviation,
t-Test and f-Test. If differences are found, the Scheffe's method will be used. The
results found that
1. The level of administrative skill of Islamic private school administrators
in Pattani province, overall, is at a high level except thinking skill, analytical and
creative thinking skills were at a moderate level.
2. A comparison of administrative skill of Islamic private school administrators
in Pattani province classified by gender and school size, overall, there were not different.
However, the aspect of age and work experience, were statistically significantly diffent
at the .05 level.
3. Suggestions on administrative skills of Islamic private school administrators
in Pattani province found that administrators should have a good attitude and accept
individual differences, use educational technology to manage schools. Moreover,
they must communicate clearly and not create conflicts and concerns for personnel.
There should be a clear assignment or order according to duties.
