Abstract:
This research paper presents training package using ROS (Robot Operating System) [4],[5] for indoor navigation stack. [2], [3] The researchers have developed a training package which is using indoor navigation stack as a research model that using for people who want to study and trial about the using of robotic operating system applied to create high-level robots. Moreover, the users will be able to study, trial, writing a program to control the movement of the robot, LidaR sensor applications for mapping and automatic movement, writing a program to determine the coordinates of the movement destination and customization of parameters of robot for smoothly movement. The results of this research found that the training package using ROS (Robot Operating System) for indoor navigation stack was a 4 percent error in structural quality (X̅=4.72 ,SD= 0.329) and 5.6 percent error in usability of the robot for being a training (X̅=4.72 ,SD= 0.329) from 5 experts evaluated. In addition, it was found that the results of the evaluation on satisfaction with training package using ROS (Robot Operating System) for indoor navigation stack were excellent. Hence, in this research it can be concluded that the training package using ROS (Robot Operating System) for indoor navigation stack can be used as a good teaching material to those who study and learn until they understand the principles and can be developed further
