Abstract:
The objectives of this study were: (1) to study students personal factors, (2) to examine levels of marketing factors in higher education among students and (3) to study the factors that influence their decisions in studying in higher education at Pateeppaleepol Technological College. With the use of simple random sampling, 300 college students at PateepaleepolTechnological College were selected for this study; descriptive statistics- percentage, average, Standard deviation were used. Inferential statistics was to compare between students personal factors and decisions to further their study in higher education by using T-test, F-test, and One-Way ANOVA to study factors affecting marketing mix by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.
The research found that the personal factors of the students at Pateeppaleepol Technological College were female, studied in vocational classes and had grade point average between 3.01 and 3.50. Their family income was around 10,001 to 15,000 baht per month. Factors affecting decisions to further study in higher education were high (x̄=3.92), followed by products (x̄=4.13), promotion (x̄=3.91), price x̄=3.89), and distribution channels (x̄=3.71), respectively. Factors that influence the students decision to study in higher education at Pateeppaleepol Technological College were also high. The comparison between the students personal factors and the factors affecting their decision to further study statistically showed significant difference at 0.05. The marketing factors that affected the students decision to study at Pateeppaleepol Technological College showed positive results and were in the same direction.
