Abstract:
The objective of this research was to study the factors motivating job changes among medical staff. This research was based on a case study of a private hospital in Bangkok. A questionnaire was used as a means for data collation. The time period for data collection was from November December 2020. The sample of this research consisted of 200 Medical Staff. The research found that personal factors such as gender, age, marital status, education level, working experience and average monthly income does not influence a motivation for job change, but job satisfaction, job description, supervisor relationships with colleagues do. The most influential factor that motivates job change among medical staff was the satisfaction towards supervisors, followed by satisfaction towards organization and job satisfaction in relation to co- workers.
Therefore, organizations like private hospitals should focus on the development of supervisors potential to be good leaders and be ready to assist and advise personnel in the team. This would lead them to work efficiently and create loyalty in the organization. This research can be a guideline for human resource management and help to maintain quality employees to work with the organization long term.
